The Lord is in the holy temple; let all the earth keep silence. Habakkuk 2:20

“Father is man’s divine Principle, Love. Son is God’s man —His image or spiritual likeness. Holy Ghost is Divine Science, the Messiah or Comforter. Jesus in the flesh was the prophet or wayshower to Life, Truth, and Love, and out of the flesh Jesus was the Christ, the spiritual idea, or image and likeness of God”.

From a Letter to Judge Hanna from Mrs Eddy.

Psalm 95:1-7

Come, let us sing to the Lord;

let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation.

Let us come before God’s presence with thanksgiving;

and raise to the Lord a shout with psalms.

For you are a great God;

you are great above all gods.

In your hand are the caverns of the earth;

and the heights of the hills are yours also.

The sea is yours, for you made it,

and your hands have molded the dry land.

Come, let us bow down and bend the knee,

and kneel before the Lord our Maker.

For you are our God,

and we are the people of your pasture, and the sheep of your hand.

Oh, that today we would hearken to your voice!

Psalm 18:1-20

1 I love you, O LORD my strength, *

O LORD my stronghold, my crag, and my haven.

2 My God, my rock in whom I put my trust, *

my shield, the horn of my salvation, and my refuge;

you are worthy of praise.

3 I will call upon the LORD, *

and so shall I be saved from my enemies.

4 The breakers of death rolled over me, *

and the torrents of oblivion made me afraid.

5 The cords of hell entangled me, *

and the snares of death were set for me.

6 I called upon the LORD in my distress *

and cried out to my God for help.

7 You heard my voice from your heavenly dwelling; *

my cry of anguish came to your ears.

8 The earth reeled and rocked; *

the roots of the mountains shook;

they reeled because of your anger.

9 Smoke rose from your nostrils

and a consuming fire out of your mouth; *

hot burning coals blazed forth from you.

10 You parted the heavens and came down *

with a storm cloud under your feet.

11 You mounted on cherubim and flew; *

you swooped on the wings of the wind.

12 You wrapped darkness about you; *

you made dark waters and thick clouds your pavilion.

13 From the brightness of your presence, through the clouds, *

burst hailstones and coals of fire.

14 O LORD, you thundered out of heaven; *

O Most High, you uttered your voice.

15 You loosed your arrows and scattered them; *

you hurled thunderbolts and routed them.

16 The beds of the seas were uncovered,

and the foundations of the world laid bare, *

at your battle cry, O LORD,

at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.

17 You reached down from on high and grasped me; *

you drew me out of great waters.

18 You delivered me from my strong enemies

and from those who hated me; *

for they were too mighty for me.

19 They confronted me in the day of my disaster; *

but the LORD was my support.

20 You brought me out into an open place; *

you rescued me because you delighted in me.

From The Book of Acts:

Cornelius replied, “Four days ago at this very hour, at three o’clock, I was praying in my house when suddenly a man in dazzling clothes stood before me. He said, ‘Cornelius, your prayer has been heard and your alms have been remembered before God. Send therefore to Joppa and ask for Simon, who is called Peter; he is staying in the home of Simon, a tanner, by the sea.’ Therefore I sent for you immediately, and you have been kind enough to come. So now all of us are here in the presence of God to listen to all that the Lord has commanded you to say.”

From Science and Health:

First in the list of Christian duties, he taught his followers the healing power of Truth and Love. He attached no importance to dead ceremonies. It is the

living Christ, the practical Truth, which makes

Jesus “the resurrection and the life” to all who follow him

in deed. Obeying his precious precepts, — following his

demonstration so far as we apprehend it, — we drink of

his cup, partake of his bread, are baptized with his pu-

rity; and at last we shall rest, sit down with him, in a full

understanding of the divine Principle which triumphs

over death. For what says Paul? “As often as ye eat

this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord’s

death till he come.”

Morning Prayer 31 August 2018

Psalm 42

1 As the deer longs for the water-brooks, *
so longs my soul for you, O God.
2 My soul is athirst for God, athirst for the living God; *
when shall I come to appear before the presence of God?
3 My tears have been my food day and night, *
while all day long they say to me,
“Where now is your God?”
4 I pour out my soul when I think on these things: *
how I went with the multitude and led them into the house of God,
5 With the voice of praise and thanksgiving *
among those who keep holy-day.
6 Why are you so full of heaviness, O my soul? *
and why are you so disquieted within me?
7 Put your trust in God; *
for I will yet give thanks to the One
who is the help of my countenance, and my God.

8 My soul is heavy within me; *
therefore I will remember you from the land of Jordan,
and from the peak of Mizar among the heights of Hermon.
9 One deep calls out to another in the noise of your cataracts; *
all your rapids and floods have gone over me.
10 The LORD grants loving-kindness in the daytime; *
in the night season the song of the LORD is with me,
a prayer to the God of my life.
11 I will say to the God of my strength,
“Why have you forgotten me? *
and why do I go so heavily while the enemy oppresses me?”
12 While my bones are being broken, *
my enemies mock me to my face;
13 All day long they mock me *
and say to me, “Where now is your God?”
14 Why are you so full of heaviness, O my soul? *
and why are you so disquieted within me?
15 Put your trust in God; *
for I will yet give thanks to the One
who is the help of my countenance, and my God.

CS Morning Prayer 29 August 2018 #ChristianScience

why seek ye the living amongst the dead”
Hymn: Angels wings are all embracing,With the thoughts of him above,
Holy arms they lift us higher,
To the Throne of Grace and Love.
Gently resting on those feathers,
In the warmth of their embrace,
Rising up our minds from shadows,
To a place of ever Faith.
Like a swan who treads the river,
With her babes not far behind,
A group of Angels soaring upwards,
To raise the thoughts of all mankind.
Yet still within the bliss we protest,
Mistaking pain for downward flight,
Still each thorn it sends us soaring,
Like a child with upward kite
O blessed Angels pointing skyward,
Are Life’s tests which rest with me,
Taking me forever higher,
Rising upward by decree.
Without the pain we cannot reach him,
However long? We cannot say,
Long slender fingers promise rebirth,
But first the sins must die away.

Man’s rights are invaded when the divine order is interfered with, and the mental trespasser incurs the divine penalty due this crime. S and H  Chapter V Animal Magnetism Unmasked

Psalm 5

1 Give ear to my words, O LORD; *
consider my meditation.
2 Hearken to my cry for help, my Sovereign and my God, *
for I make my prayer to you.
3 In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; *
early in the morning I make my appeal and watch for you.
4 For you are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, *
and evil cannot dwell with you.
