Coronavirus

I´m remembering a woman I knew some years ago. She lived in the apartment next to mine. She owned a snake which was. poisonous. I was terrified of her and the snake which in my mind could kill me. Yet the woman loved this snake, it was her best friend.

It was not until I learnt not to judge the snake as good or evil was I able to learn to live with it next door.. The fear and overthinking of this snake made me ill. I saw it on every corner and it had an aim to kill me personally in my mind. I blocked up every hole in every wall I could find. I left the house with plastic over my legs, searching outside my apartment before I left. The woman in my eyes must have been evil as well.

These days another neighbour has a pet tarantula and I have no fear or judgement. I live in peace.

I remembered that story last week when my cat chewed through my modem cable and I declared the cat the biggest evil of the day whereas my family’s response was simply “awwww he is so cute, finding his teeth”

In those days snakes were not the only evil:  menopause, sex, and drugs were medically classed as causes of insanity. Satan was out to trick all of us as well. Woman with snakes were not culturally ok either. Certain laws dominate us, and tell us what is good and evil. Roses for me are beautiful yet for a friend they are allergic and evil.

In these days a microscopic entity has been declared the greatest evil in society. Perhaps the worst in modern times. Just like witch hunting in medieval times, we see it on every corner and declare every person with a cough the biggest threat to us. Yet nothing is good or bad without our minds input. The little mind and not the bigger Mind as God.

Spirtual living teaches us that judgement of another is judgement of self. We dont need to know what this virus is, we just need to know theres another mindset where it has no power. A mindset which is Godly.

We need to arrive at a mindset of knowing we cant judge and then fear. Fear and judgement are best handed to God. Only when we relinquish judgement will we find peace from this.

Whatever we do or think about this virus and others we can expect to find those thoughts forming in our own minds and bodies.

Lets rise above this.
